Start A New Team
Our step by step guide on how to start your team.
About Starting Your Team
FIRST does not match youth to existing teams due to FIRST privacy policy. Teams form in local communities and recruit as needed. We encourage those looking for a team to contact local schools, libraries, or youth organizations that may have a team in place or an interest in starting one. An online search may also be helpful, as some teams share contact information through websites and social media pages.

Familirise Yourself With FIRST Tech Challenge
FIRST Tech Challenge is much more than a robotics competition. This is a program that teaches students the meaning and value of investment and challenging work, entrepreneurship and creativity while having pure enjoyment based on challenge and joint effort. Throughout the program, the students will recognize and internalize the importance of teamwork, sharing knowledge and ideas and the importance of mutual respect, courtesy to competitors and involvement in the community.

Understand The Activities In FTC
As part of the program, 8th to 12th grade students face a technological challenge to build a robot that competes in a challenging competition with a central theme that is updated every year. With the exception of the technological knowledge that includes programming, construction, mechanics, electricity, electronics and more, the process of building the robot and the format of the competition also integrate the development of skills and abilities that include - strategic thinking, creativity, resource management, problem solving, project management, teamwork and documentation of engineering processes Notebook.

Form a Team
To establish a team, several important things are required: Commitment of the school principal to the program.
